Little details can make big waves!

well… this looks like a big wave!

Transcripts! Everyone’s least fave word!

Here are some Transcript Facts:

  • You will have to submit a Transcript for every university/ college that you list in the Colleges Attended section of VMCAS (the vet school app portal that almost all vet schools utilize).

  • Send originals, not copies, and they must be addressed to VMCAS.

  • Most people ask for their transcripts to be sent electronically.

  • Once submitted, keep checking VMCAS to make sure it was sent by your college and uploaded.

FAQs:

  • If you attend more than one school, and the transfer credits are listed on your new university’s transcript, do you have to send the transfer school’s?

    • YES! They want you to.

  • What is Professional Transcript Entry Service? (PTE)

    • PTE is when you pay (Between $85-$110, nonrefundable ) for a specialist to insert your Transcripts.

    • If you want this, you must sign up by Aug 7.

    • If you entered some of your info, and made a mistake, PTE will not correct that info.

  • How do I record a “repeated course”?

    • If you take Organic 1 at your college, get a C, and retake it there and get an A, you select “repeat”, then the “plus sign” by your original school.

    • If you take Organic 1 again at another institution, they both count as courses, (both grades will therefore count in your total GPA, (the C and the A)).

    • However, in your Science GPA, you can select the Organic that you took and received the A in :)

What if I don’t agree with my GPA as VMCAS sees it??
