When can I apply and when do classes start?
Apply NOW! Read this first. Then click this to get a username/login and get going!! Do it now, they are doing “rolling admissions”, meaning they look at each application as it rolls in.
Classes start Fall 2025!!
What do I need to apply?
Fill out the application on their website.
Finish these Prereqs.
NO GRE necessary (most vet schools agree)
NO Bachelor’s Degree necessary (most vet schools agree)
$55 application fee
Then what?
You submit the Initial Application.
Wait 15-30 mins.
Upload your Transcripts. Get ALL of your transcripts (from any college/institution) ready! You can upload Unofficial Transcripts.
If you are a Utah Resident, get that proof ready to upload.
Reach out to 2 people to write you a Letter of Recommendation. (I usually rec 1 vet - preferably one you worked under- and 1 professor, bc other vet schools often require these two. Once they write you one, they can reuse their letter in Sept for your VMCAS/TMDAS application. copy, paste ;)

Soon, you will get an email explaining how to download Kira. This is used by Arizona Vet School and a few others.
Kira will allow you to write a timed essay (no prepping for this!) and then record a few Situational Judgement questions they may have for you.
I like the Reddit rabbit holes waiting for you to fall down when searching “Situational Judgement questions/ interview”! lol I’ll try to get some for you guys for next week’s Substack, to help you prep.
Other details:
Academic formula: 40% of your Applicant score is from your GPA (unsure what one), 30% from your experiences, 5% from your essays, 10% from your communication skills (Kira assessment?), and 5% from your potential “alignment with the Vet School’s Mission”
Minimum Total GPA: 2.9
Minimum Prerequisite GPA: 3.1
This year: only 40 seats available! (This is low, but will go up to 80 next year). Half of these to in-state, half to out-of-state.)
