Ever have Analysis Paralysis?
Start thinking and researching something and then get overwhelmed and STOP!?
Here are some things that I may be able to help you with- decisions I can expedite!
1. Which Vet Schools do you put on your list?!
First, read this:
Which vet schools do I apply to?!?
Every one of you is different. Some of you can move anywhere. Some of you cannot. We each excel in different areas. The trick is to use that to your advantage.
Next: Be honest with yourself. Try to be scientific and without bias or emotion. Find your GPAs. Look at the minimums. Look at the averages. And make a list. Divide it up into top 3 Vet Schools, next 3, and maybe a “safety school” or two.
2. Don’t wait til the last minute. Plan out your time.
3. Take your time and check all of your Prereqs. Make sure everything is going to count, where you think it will count.
For example, I took Intro to Chemistry, will that count for my “General Chemistry 1” requirement?
Go down your vet school list and check. Some websites have a spot to check! Others—- you’ll have to email. One by one.
4. If there is one thing your application is missing or is WEAK- now is the time to fix it!
Again, be relentless. Be non-emotional.
If you need more hours, start knocking on doors (not emails!)
If you need a higher GPA, take some classes this summer. Community college, online, wherever! But do it even though its not fun!
If you need help, I got you!
