… and it’s a hard one.

What to do when you are waiting to apply again or waiting to hear back…

The answer: it varies for each vet school .

Let’s break it down.

  • Some Vet Schools still put a ton of emphasis on their Prerequisite or Science GPA.

  • Some put more emphasis on the Last 45 Hour GPA.

The schools that put emphasis on their Prerequisite GPA… it may be smart to either retake a Prerequisite that you did poorly in, or take an Upper Level Science Elective.

The schools that put emphasis on the Last 45 Hour GPA, it may be smart to do a Masters, especially one in a higher level science, and one that only lasts one year (in case you get accepted!!)

The trick is looking at the vet school you are applying to.
